Fani-Kayode Reacts To Corruption Allegations Against DSS Boss

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to the decision of the French Government to withdraw its ambassador and troops from Niger Republic.

Naija News earlier reported that France agreed to withdraw its ambassador from Niger Republic, Sylvian Itte, followed by its military contingent.

In an interview on Sunday, President Emmanuel Macron said France has decided to withdraw its ambassador and several diplomats.

He added that military cooperation was over, and French troops would withdraw in “the months and weeks to come” with a complete pullout by the end of the year.

Reacting to the development in a post on his verified X handle on Monday, Fani-Kayode mocked the French government for withdrawing its ambassador and planned withdrawal of its troops.

The former minister said the withdrawal and apology is the smartest thing President Emmanuel Macron has done since he was elected.

He wrote: “France has finally decided to withdraw her Ambassador and troops from Niger and run away with her tail between her legs.

“Glory Hallelujah! That, together with his apology to Africa at the UNGA, is the smartest thing Emmanuel Macron has done since he was elected President.”
