Several reactions have trailed the angry exit of the Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu from the venue for the 60th anniversary of the Midwest referendum organized by the state government.

Naija News understands that the media team and security aides of the deputy governor were blocked from gaining entrance into the venue of the event.

Shaibu, however, left the venue of the ceremony angrily after arguments with security operatives who barred his media team and security details.

Reacting to the development in a Twitter post, some Nigerians slammed the governor for treating his deputy with disdain, while others said there was nothing wrong with the action of the governor’s security aides.
