Aisha Yesufu Reacts To Donald Trump’s Indictment

Political activist, Aisha Yesufu has reacted to the indictment of the former president of the United States of America, Donald Trump.

Naija News recalls that Trump had surrendered himself to authorities in the US state of Georgia, where the former president faces criminal charges over his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

The former president was fingerprinted and had his mugshot taken when he surrendered at the Fulton County jail.

It was the fourth of such surrender this year for Trump, who has been indicted in three other criminal cases.

Trump decried the case as a “travesty of justice” as he departed Georgia.

Trump is the first former American president to be indicted.

Sharing Trump’s mugshot on Twitter, Yesufu wrote, “The day Rule of Law leaves sheets of papers and become part and parcel of our lives is the day Nigeria will be that country you are yearning for.”

Yesufu Reacts To Burna Boy Statement On Afrobeats

Meanwhile, Yesufu has reacted to Burna Boy’s statement on Afrobeats.

Naija News recalls that during a recent interview, Burna Boy stated that Afrobeats lacked substance.

According to the singer, 90 percent of Afrobeats songs are devoid of real-life experiences and only portray an amazing time which life isn’t all about.

According to him, “That’s why you hear most Nigerian music, African Music, or Afrobeats, as you people call it, is mostly about nothing, absolutely nothing. There is no substance to it, like nobody is talking about anything, it’s just a great time. But at the end of the day, life isn’t an amazing time.”

His statement has since sparked a range of reactions on social media with some agreeing with him, and others criticizing him for being arrogant.

Reacting to Burna Boy’s statement, Yesufu wondered why Nigerians were shocked.

Sharing an old video of the Afrobeat star, she recounted how he walked out of an interview because he was bored.

According to her, “Am I the only one that watched Burna Boy’s interview where he literally denigrated and relegated his grandfather? His mother was shell shocked sef.

“Then who the heck are you folks that he will not shred everyone of you?

“All of us like this he will pieces us!

“I am surprised at you people’s surprise.”
