The manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti said the Spanish giants won’t sign Paris Saint Germain forward Kylian Mbappe this summer.

Kylian Mbappe has been playing for PSG since 2017, first on loan, and then PSG paid Monaco 180 million euros to make the deal permanent the following year. Since then, Mbappe has scored a PSG’s record 213 goals in 261 games.

His current contract with PSG is set to expire on June 30, 2024, and he has refused to extend the contract even though there is a one-year contract extension option in the deal.

Hence, throughout this summer, there have been a series of speculations that he would leave PSG and the French giants are reportedly ready to part ways with the 24-year-old French captain to avoid losing him for free next summer.

Due to the contract tussle, Mbappe did not practice with the PSG first team this month, but he has since returned to the squad following what the club described as “very constructive and positive talks.”

Ahead of Real Madrid’s La Liga game against Celta Vigo at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, August 25, coach Ancelotti was asked if the Spanish giants are planning to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer. The Italian tactician responded, “No, I rule it out 100%.”

He added: “I think our squad is closed and our players are thinking about our season.”
