Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has reacted to the demise of the leader of Wagner, a private military company, Yevgeny Prigozhin.

Naija News earlier reported that Prigozhin was killed alongside nine people on board a private jet that crashed in the north of Moscow, the capital of Russia.

The Russian Civil Aviation Authority said seven passengers and three crew were on board the Embraer aircraft, which was en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg.

Reacting to the plane crash in a Twitter post on Wednesday, Omokri said the demise of Prigozhin was not too surprising after he led a revolt against Russian military command in June.

He wrote: “Breaking News: There has just been a ‘plane crash’ in Russia involving a private plane flying from Moscow to St. Petersburg. All ten people on board are believed to have died. The Wagner boss, Yevgeny Prigozhin, was amongst those whose names are on the passenger list of this ‘accidental’ crash.

“Hmm. Anyway, it is not too surprising.”
