El-Rufai Reveals Governor Who Wrote Election Results Instead Of Conducting Election

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has in recent times gone philosophical with different kinds of posts via his account on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter.

From sharing life experiences to sharing lessons from musical lyrics, El-Rufai seems to have found a new lease of life since missing out on a ministerial appointment in President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.

Naija News reports the former Governor on Tuesday took to Twitter to share his view on the only type of lie people get punished for.

Sharing a quote from Nobel Literature Laureate, V.S. Naipaul, El-Rufai submitted that the lies people truly get punished for are the ones they tell themselves.

He wrote: “TUESDAY REMINDER: “The only lies for which we are truly punished are those we tell ourselves.” ― V.S. Naipaul, Nobel Literature Laureate”

Recall that on Sunday, the former Governor similarly took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to share the lyrics of one of the songs by popular reggae musician, Bob Marley which spoke about friendship, trust, and betrayal.

Sharing the lyrics, El-Rufai wrote: “Bob Marley of blessed memory is one of most talented musicians of all time. My love for reggae music is connected with his songs and music.

“Who The Cap Fit – Bob Marley & The Wailers is one of my favorites from the 1970s. Enjoy your Sunday with the song and lyrics that are timeless.”
