El-Rufai Sparks Reactions With Cryptic Message After Failing To Clinch Ministerial Appointment

The immediate past Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has sparked reactions with a post on social media on Sunday.

Naija News recalls El-Rufai was nominated for ministerial appointment by President Bola Tinubu but was not confirmed by the National Assembly over a reported case of not getting a security clearance.

Following the development, El-Rufai travelled out of the country after reportedly telling the President he was no longer interested in serving in his cabinet.

On Sunday, the former Governor took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to share the lyrics of one of the songs by popular reggae musician, Bob Marley which spoke about friendship, trust and betrayal.

Sharing the lyrics, El-Rufai wrote: “Bob Marley of blessed memory is one of most talented musicians of all time. My love for reggae music is connected with his songs and music.

“Who The Cap Fit – Bob Marley & The Wailers is one of my favorites from the 1970s. Enjoy your Sunday with the song and lyrics that are timeless.”

Some netizens thereafter took to the comment section of the post to mock him that he is hurting from failing to be cleared for ministerial appointment while some others said they still look forward to seeing him work with the current government despite what has transpired.
