Badaru, Matawalle Resume As Defence Ministers (Photos)

The Minister of Defence, Muhammad Abubakar Badaru, has assumed his duty after his inauguration by President Bola Tinubu.

Naija News reports that Badaru arrived at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday alongside the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Muhammad Matawalle.

During their roundtable meeting with Defence personnel, both ministers promised remarkable changes in Nigeria’s security architecture within one year.

Niger Coup: President Tinubu Meets ECOWAS President, Abdulsalami, Others

The Chairman of the Authority of the Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently meeting with some critical stakeholders as part of efforts to resolve the political crisis in Niger Republic.

In attendance at the ongoing meeting are the President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr Omar Touray; leader of the ECOWAS delegation to Niger Republic’s military junta, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, and the National Security Adviser (NSA) to the President, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

At the time of filing this report no detail had been issued concerning the meeting, however, the meeting would be the next step towards resolving the political crisis in Niger.
