Taiwo Awoniyi’s Wife Celebrates After Childbirth, Goals For Nottingham

Nottingham Forest and Nigeria international, Taiwo Awoniyi seems to be having the best of August as his wife, Taiye Jesudun welcomed their second child recently.

Joyous Taiye took to Instagram on Sunday, August 20, to share a picture of her husband, their son Emmanuel, and herself when she was heavily pregnant.

She wrote “Thank you Lord” in the caption which is simply an acknowledgment of the wonderful things that have been happening in the family recently.

Recall that Taiwo Awoniyi and Taiye who are said to be childhood sweethearts, got married on the 16th of June, 2018 in Kabba, Kwara state.

Two years after the luxurious wedding ceremony, the former Liverpool winger and his beautiful partner welcomed their first child together. They named the boy Emmanuel.

Last season, after a series of injury issues, Awoniyi resuscitated his football career and helped Nottingham Forest escape relegation weeks to the end of the 2022-2023 season.

At the end of the thrilling season, the 26-year-old Super Eagles forward recorded 11 goals and provided an assist in 30 Premier League games.

On August 12, 2023, it was reported that Taiye Jesudun and Awoniyi have welcomed their second child, and on that same day, he opened his scoring in the new 2023-2024 Premier League season against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. Unfortunately for him, it was not a perfect end for him as Arsenal ended up with a 2-1 win.

To prove that scoring against Arsenal twice in less than four months was not a fluke, Taiwo Awoniyi opened the scoring for Nottingham Forest in their 2-1 win over Sheffield United on August 18.

Based on all these, Taiye Jesudun has a lot of reasons to be thankful as Taiwo Awoniyi continues to push for more goals this season.

The Super Eagles star is expected to be in action for Forest on Saturday, August 26 against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
