Bandits Force Farmers To Pay N100,000 'Access Fee' For Permission To Farm

Bandits on Saturday, attacked a police station located in a community in Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State.

The development was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer for Taraba State, Abdullahi Usman who noted that the incident occurred around 2 am on Saturday.

According to the PRO, the bandits who arrived in large numbers were in search of a particular person in the community but attacked the station when they couldn’t get their target.

No death was recorded during the attack but the bandits succeeded in disturbing the peace of the community, Usman was quoted to have said according to Daily Post.

Some of the community members who spoke on the incident added that the bandits, on arriving the community, shot sporadically in the air.

RCCG Pastor’s Wife Kidnapped In Kwara Community

The wife of a Pastor serving with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has been kidnapped in Kwara State.

It was gathered that some unknown gunmen, numbering about seven on Thursday evening, stormed Elerinjare, a community in the Ifelodun local government area of the state, and whisked away the woman identified as Blessing Ajiboye.

Two other persons assisting the pastor’s wife at her shop were also kidnapped during the attack. Reports, however, claimed that the two shop assistants later regained freedom.

According to The Tribune, the incident happened at about 8:45 pm on Thursday at the trading shop being operated by both the pastor and his wife.

Narrating the awful event, the victim’s husband, Pastor Johnson Olalekan Ajiboye, told journalists that the gunmen, who included two women, attacked the ever-busy shop from a nearby bush beside the Community Primary School located in the area.
