Wizkid Loses Mother

Internationally renowned Nigerian signer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has lost his mother.

Naija News learnt that a close associate of the Grammy award-winning singer, confirmed that the singer lost his mother after a brief illness.

Mrs. Balogun, who was a pillar of support for her son’s flourishing career, and often seen showing her support for him from the sidelines at concerts died in the wee hours of today, Friday, August 18, 2023.

The singer’s manager, Sunday Are, confirmed the incident to journalists saying; “Yes, she died on Friday morning, at about 1.30 am.”

Fans have been thronging to social media platforms to condole the singer and his family since the news frittered on the internet.

Wizkid has not yet made a public statement regarding the loss.
