Aisha Yesufu Reacts As Tribunal Sacks Kogi Senator Caught Kneeling Before Gov. Bello

Political activist, Aisha Yesufu has reacted to the announcement by Niger State Governor, Umar Muhammed Bago, stating that he might consider dialoguing with terrorists.

Naija News reports that Niger State has been in the news in recent times as bandits and terrorists keep attacking and killing residents.

Military troops were killed by bandits in an ambush in the Shiroro area of Niger while a Nigerian Air Force helicopter crashed in the state on Monday.

Speaking on the situation, Bago said the government is considering going into dialogue with bandits and terrorists in the state following a visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Bago who spoke with journalists after the meeting with Tinubu, lamented over the level of insecurity in Niger State.

We don’t want any major military activities in Niger as we also don’t want the grazers to leave our state because of business and the investment.

“But if we don’t get to that level of dialogue, then probably, we have to go fully military,” Bago said.

Sharing her thoughts on the way Bago was handling the situation, Yesufu opined that the governor must bring the terrorists to their knees before considering dialogue.

Speaking via Twitter, she said, “Any dialogue that is not from a position of strength is nonsense.

“You must first bring them to their knees and then have them beg you for the dialogue.”
