Mrs Jonathan Visits First Lady Remi Tinubu (Photos)

A former First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan on Wednesday visited the current First Lady of the country, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

According to a short statement made available to Naija News by the media aide to Mrs Tinubu, Busola Kukoyi, Jonathan was on a solidarity visit to the First Lady.

Dame Jonathan also assured Nigerian women during the visit that the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu will carry them along and ensure a time of Renewed Hope.

The statement reads: “Former First Lady Her Excellency dame Patience Jonathan paid a courtesy visit to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON where the former First Lady described it as a solidarity visit to assure Senator Oluremi Tinubu of her support. She also assured Nigerian women that the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu will carry all Nigerian women along and ensure a time of Renewed Hope.”

First Lady Hosts Super Falcons

Earlier this week, the First Lady, Remi Tinubu received the Female Football National Team, Super Falcons, in the State House in Abuja.

Speaking on Monday during the reception, Mrs Tinubu hailed the ladies for their gallantry at the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The First Lady, who held a similar meeting with the victorious Nigeria female basketball team, D’Tigresses, urged the ladies to continue to make the country proud and to continue to hold meetings like this.

Recall that the Super Falcons crashed out of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup having lost through penalties to the English team, last Monday, August 7.
