‘I Didn’t Expect Justice' - Charly Boy Reacts To Presidential Tribunal Verdict

Veteran Nigerian entertainer, Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy, has stated that the reason the nation has poor leadership is because of the best talent in the country are migrating.

Naija News reports that Nigeria is currently faced with a brain drain crisis due to the mass migration of young professionals to Europe and North America in search of greener pastures.

Sharing a video of young visa applicants thronging the UK Visa Application Centre (TSL) in Ikeja, Lagos, Charly Boy lamented over the massive migration which has drained Nigeria of its best talent.

He captioned the video, “UK Visa Application Centre (TSL) Ikeja Lagos yesterday.

The best of our young workforce is leaving dis refugee camp.

“How we have allowed the worst of us to lead the best of us.”

Charly Boy Condemns Proposed Invasion On Niger Republic

Meanwhile, Charly Boy, has condemned the proposed military invasion of Niger Republic.

Naija News recalls that President Bola Tinubu had on Friday briefed the National Assembly on the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and proposed military action and other penalties against the coup plotters in the Niger Republic.

This was contained in a formal letter to the Senate and read during plenary by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Reacting to the development, Charly Boy opined that taking military action against the embattled country would lead to dire consequences.

He urged the All Progressives Congress not to delve into a situation that would be difficult to end.

Speaking via Twitter, he wrote, “The would-be military intervention in the Republic of Niger is creating tension across the West Africa sub-region. This development is getting international attention in that neighbouring country of ours.

“A war with people who appear to be uniting around a common interest, seeking Economic freedom and a departure from overbearing western influence will have very dire consequences.

“To start a war is easy than to end it. APC is about to talk us into a war. Hmm we have humongous problems already. Let’s not start what will be hard to finish.”
