NYSC Has Not United Nigeria - Shehu Sani Tackles Scheme's DG

A former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Shehu Sani has reacted to allegations against an erstwhile governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola.

Naija News recalls that a Twitter user identified as Jack Ude had alleged that Fashola and some lawyers of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were writing a judgement the ruling party intends to hand over to the judges.

However, in a statement on Sunday, Fashola’s special adviser on media, Hakeem Bello said the allegation is “baseless and defamatory”.

He described those behind the allegations as “agents of destabilisation”.

Fashola expressed his disappointment with the spread of this false information on social media platforms and has called on security agencies to take action against those responsible for spreading fake news,” the statement read.

Reacting to the allegation against the former governor, Sani insisted that despite the mysteries that happen in Nigeria, the story was hard to believe.

Speaking via Twitter, he wrote, “Though we live in a country of mysteries, magic, miracles and myths, it’s hard to believe that the respective Justices of the Presidential election tribunal will stoop to sacrifice their honour for someone to write the Tribunal judgment for them to read like newscasters. The story is either speculative or preemptive fiction.”
