The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress in the 2023 general elections, Omoyele Sowore has urged former senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani to adopt a six-month-old baby abandoned at a refuse dump.

This comes after the ex-lawmaker shared a photo of himself and a two-week-old baby abandoned on the street of Nasarawa State.

Sani, who disclosed that he kept the baby at an Orphanage Foundation and pledged to provide the necessary support, revealed via his Twitter on Sunday that he paid a visit to the orphanage home where the child was kept in the last six months.

He wrote: “The little Baby Boy, Jordan who was thrown and abandoned in a Refuse dump by his unknown parents is now 6 months old.Today I visited the Orphanage.”

Reacting to the post, the AAC flag bearer commended the former lawmaker for caring for the abandoned child, urging the senator to adopt the child since they both shares striking resemblance.

He wrote: “This is commendable Comrade Shehu Sani, I applaud you but take a step further bring this child home with you, an adopted child need not be left at the orphanage. And I must say this child looks very much like you. The Afro is the same. Shalom!”
