The Nigerian Senate has finally commenced the screening of 28 ministerial nominees sent to it by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu last week.

Naija News reports that President Tinubu sent the list of nominees to the Senate on Thursday,  July 27, through his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, with some expected and surprise names making the cut.

The Senate was scheduled to commence the screening today at 11:00 am. However, there was a delay and the screening eventually commenced around 12:48 PM.
