Arrest Gumi Over Attack On Wike, Southerners - Nabena Tells DSS

A former National Publicity Secretary for the All Progressives Congress (APC), Yekini Nabena has issued a warning about the impending downfall of the party.

According to Nabena, this imminent collapse can be attributed to the leaders’ failure to manage the party effectively.

This prediction comes amid ongoing disputes regarding who will succeed Abdullahi Adamu as the National Chairman of the APC.

Nabena in a chat with Daily Post attributed the party’s internal clashes to its faulty foundation.

“The faulty foundation of the party was responsible for the infighting,” Nabena explained.

The former spokesperson’s comments reflect growing concerns over the party’s unity and future leadership.

Nabena said, “From day one, the foundation of APC is totally wrong and that is why they are still fighting.

“This is what they will do till the party collapses if they don’t do the right thing.

“They have to go back to the roots, there was no election and what they had was a selection. Even the party members now don’t know the constitution of the party, they don’t have the idea of what the party is built on.

“It’s like people are seated at home and you just call them to come and take positions, they can’t get it right because they don’t know what the party is all about.”

According to Nabena, the crisis in the ruling party would end when members are allowed to vote for the leaders of their choice.

He added, “Like Adamu, people stepped down for him and he was told to refund money that came into the party, but he didn’t do it.

“The party has its chairman, Secretary, Auditor, and Treasurer; so, these are the people in charge of the account. They should audit the account and tell the public what the party has. APC made so much money during the primaries from the sale of forms, where is the money?

“They did not refund the money to those who stepped down. Like I said, the party will continue to fight until they do the right thing.”
