Chukwueze Will Complete AC Milan Deal Today

Nigeria striker, Samuel Chukwueze is expected to complete his move to AC Milan today, July 26, 2023, as he is set to leave his boyhood club, Villarreal this summer.

Chukwueze will fly to Milano later today to finalize the deal with the Rossoneri. According to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano, the 24-year-old Nigeria international is expected to be in Milan at 1 PM this afternoon.

The agreement between Milan and the Nigerian winger, according to Sky Sport Italia, is practically complete, with only minor procedural issues to be handled in the coming hours.

Once the deal is complete, the Nigerian winger will become Milan’s sixth summer acquisition so far.

Milan paid Villarreal €20 million fixed transfer fee, and they are expected to pay €8 million in bonuses for the services of Chukwueze who has just a season left in his current contract with the Spanish side.

All things being equal, later today, Samuel Chukwueze will put pen to paper to sign a five-year contract with the Italian Serie A club after passing his medical examination on Wednesday.

Reports claimed that the Italian Serie A giants are set to make him one of the highest-paid footballers at the club by paying him around €4 million per season.

Chukwueze will formally join Milan this week, but will not accompany the team on their pre-season tour to the United States, according to TMW.

The reasons are primarily bureaucratic, coming from his inability to get the appropriate permits to join his colleagues in such a short period as a non-EU player.

As a result, Chukwueze will begin training at Milanello alone until coach Pioli and his players arrive in Italy on August 2nd.
