BBNaija: 5 Times Mercy Eke Was Involved In Controversy Including Dating Married Men

Barely three days after the Big Brother Naija ‘All-Stars’ Edition premiere, the winner of the ‘PepperDem’ edition, Mercy Eke, alongside other housemates, have been keeping viewers entertained.

Mercy’s return to the Biggie house was a surprise for some viewers of the show, especially being a one-time winner.

After she was unveiled on the show, the social media handler of the reality TV star via Instagram bragged about how she won the ‘PepperDem’ edition and also vowed to win the N120 million grand prize.

However, Mercy’s ex-lover, Ike Onyema, has threatened to form an alliance and ensure that she does not win the ‘All-Stars’ edition.

1. Age Fraud: In the wake of the electioneering period, Mercy Eke posted her Voters Card, expressing readiness for the 2023 general elections and also urged her fans to collect their PVCs.

Although the reality TV star covered her date of birth and address, surprisingly, a follower had to go the extra mile to dig up the details of the Card, exposing Mercy Eke’s real age as 32.

The age fraud created a buzz online, especially as the incident came a few months after Mercy celebrated her 29th birthday in grand style.

2. Sexual Affairs With Super Eagles Star: In 2021, Mercy Eke was accused of destroying the marriage of Super Eagles striker, Aaron Samuel due to alleged sexual affairs.

It was alleged that Mercy and Samuel’s escapade was supposed to be a ‘one night stand’, but their affair continued until his wife got to know about it.

However, the reality TV star, in a chat with celebrity journalist Stella Dimoko Korkus denied ever having an affair with the Nigerian international footballer and warned the public to desist from denting her image.

3. Fake Buttock: During the BBNaija ‘PepperDem’ edition, there were controversies about the originality of Mercy’s backside.

Addressing the controversy in an interview when asked whether she had ever gone under the knives to get her body shape, Mercy said, “Yes, it’s real. This interview is getting too personal. But I won’t tell you whether my bum is real or not. People are free to have their opinion about my bum. Let the rumour continue, I am actually enjoying it”

4. Igbo Accent: Mercy Eke has often claimed she is confident of her accent despite the criticism about speaking with an Igbo accent.

In 2022, the reality TV star, during an interview with media personality, Taymesan, revealed why she speaks with an Igbo accent.

The Imo-born reality TV star noted that she was born and brought up in Owerri, the Imo state capital, and that affected her speech.

5. Sexual relationship with Jowizaza: The alleged romance with Nigerian billionaire oil magnate, Joseph Ezeokafor, better known as Jowizaza, is one reports Mercy Eke failed to admit or debunk.

In 2021, it was alleged that the reality TV star was in a relationship with Jowizaza after they were spotted on a trip to Marrakech in Morocco.

Although the lovebirds did their best to prevent prying eyes from detecting, it was obviously not enough as pictures of the same location where Mercy was were also posted by Jowizaza a few hours apart.
