Shehu Sani Reacts As Tinubu Meets UAE Leadership Over Visa Ban, Others

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has reacted to the controversy surrounding a music video shared by Nigerian music superstar, Davido Adeleke, better known as Davido, on his Twitter page.

Naija News understands that Davido posted a music video of his label artist, Logos Olori, on his Twitter page on Friday morning.

The video, as seen by this publication, showed some people dressed in white clothes praying the way the Muslims do before launching into dancing.

However, some Nigerian Muslims, especially in the North, have found the video offensive and asked the music star to delete the video and apologise for his action.

Reacting to the development, Sani said it will be honourable for Davido to delete or edit the music video if his fans feel offended as it concerns their religious beliefs.

Taking to his Twitter page on Sunday, the former lawmaker also asked the music star to apologise to his Muslim fans who feel offended by the video and move on with his career.

He wrote: “As an artist or entertainer If your fans feel offended by a piece or portion of your work, especially as it concerns their culture, faith or religious beliefs, it will be most honourable for you to delete or edit that portion, apologise to them and move on. I’m here talking about Davido. This is my own opinion.”
