'We Won't Submit The State To Anarchy' - Ondo Govt Rejects Court Order On Akeredolu's Health

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore, has said there is no cause for alarm over the health of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State.

Naija News reports that the APC national scribe made this known during a ‘solidarity visit’ to the Acting Governor, Hon. Lucky Ayedatiwa in Akure on Friday.

Omisore, a former federal lawmaker, disclosed that Akeredolu would soon resume duties after taking an indefinite leave.

He called on Nigerians to continue to offer prayers to God for the Governor to return after adequate rest.

Omisore said the twist in the wish and prayer of the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, was regrettable, adding that the National Chairman never said the governor was incapacitated.

Omisore said the visit was meant to dispel the misapprehension of Adamu’s statement.

He said, “Mr Chairman only urged people to pray for the quick recovery of your governor; not on account of being incapacitated.

“Our visit, therefore, is to reinforce the position of the national secretariat that we only prayed for the quick recovery of Arakunrin Akeredolu SAN, and not otherwise.”
