Tinubu, Atiku, Peter Obi Had A Consensus That Subsidy Must Go - Presidency

Presidential aide, Bayo Onanuga has commended the Chief of Army Staff, Maj Gen Taoreed Lagbaja for ordering troops to raid areas where the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) enforce sit-at-home orders throughout the South-East states.

Naija News reported that the Director of Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu declared that the troops of the 82 Division had been given the order to work with other security agencies to ensure citizens go about their businesses freely.

The army spokesman asserted that the announcement made by the pro-Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa that there will be two weeks of sit-at-home directives was unlawful and would not be condoned.

In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday, Onanuga said the order by Army Chief is a good step in the right direction, adding that Nigeria does not belong to Simon Ekpa.

He wrote: “A good step. Nigeria is not Simon Ekpa Republic.”
