Why My Marriage To Chris Attoh Failed – Damilola Adegbite

Popular Nollywood actress, Damilola Adegbite, has opened up on the reason her marriage to her Ghanaian colleague, Chris Attoh failed.

Naija News recalls that the couple parted ways in September 2017.

Damilola and Chris, who met on the set of the soap opera ‘Tinsel’, married privately in Ghana in 2015, after welcoming a son together in 2014.

Speaking on the broken union during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the thespian explained that her marriage crashed because “love is not enough.”

She opined that while love might be one of the qualities to keep a marriage afloat, there is more involved.

According to her, “Love is not enough. When you meet somebody and you want to spend your life with them, love is just one of the qualities that you need. But it is not everything.”

Speaking further, Adegbite said she does not regret divorcing her ex-husband.

She noted that the only regard she has for Chris Attoh is that he is the father of her son.

The mother of one went on to state that a failed marriage is not the tragedy people make it out to be.

She reminisced how she had fought and prayed hard right to the end of the marriage and how she knew in her heart that she did her best.
