Full List Of Ex-Gov Reportedly Receiving State Pension And Senate Salary
In the ongoing 10th National Assembly, thirteen former governors still get pension benefits while serving as senators, despite ongoing debates about reducing governmental costs.
Former Ogun State governor, Gbenga Daniel, recently requested the suspension of his monthly allowances and pension.
He said this move aligns with his ethical stance against receiving double benefits, as a serving senator and a former state governor.
In a letter titled, ‘Request To Suspend My Monthly Pension and Allowances’, addressed to the current Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, Daniel clarified his position.
However, Tribune Online reports that several ex-governors, who now serve in the 10th Senate, continue to collect pensions from their respective states.
The former Ogun governor asked that the N676,376.95 pension/allowances he is entitled to as a former governor be suspended.
