Real Madrid Sign Arda Guler, Marco Asensio Joins PSG

Turkish Midfielder, Arda Guler, has left Turkish club Fenerbahce for Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid at 18 years old.

Arda Guler who is described as “Turkish Messi” has agreed to a six-year deal with Real Madrid.

Guler produced a man-of-the-match performance in the Turkish Cup final last season. In the said season, the young midfielder scored four goals and provided four assists.

Arda Guler currently holds the record of being the youngest player to score in Turkish football.

Guler, who made his Fenerbahce debut at the age of 16, provided an assist in his maiden Super Lig match and was assigned the number 10 shirt last season due to his skillfulness.

It is reported that Real Madrid paid a fixed transfer fee of €20 million and would pay €10 million in performance-based bonus. His contract includes a 20% sell-on clause.

Meanwhile, Marco Asensio has officially joined Paris Saint-Germain and he will join the club for pre-season training later this month.

PSG and Marco Asensio signed a three-year deal that will keep the player at the club until 2026.

During his seven years at Real Madrid, Asensio won a series of titles for the Spanish giants including four Champions League titles and three La Liga crowns.

The 27-year-old Spanish winger, who has experience playing for PSG’s new coach Luis Enrique on the international level, will reportedly earn €10 million annually at PSG.
