Police Officer Dies Mysteriously In Abuja

The family of an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Salisu Garba Zuba, has announced his mysterious demise.

Naija News learnt that Salisu was on Friday, March 24, found dead in his house in Zuba, Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT, Abuja.

A relative of the deceased, Adamu Garba, who spoke with Daily Trust said the deceased died shortly after he returned from a Thursday night duty at the Gwagwalada Police Division.

According to him, the Police officer was hale and hearty when he returned from work and decided to rest in his room.

However, the deceased was discovered dead when his brother went to wake him up for Juma’at prayers.

He was rushed to a hospital where he was confirmed dead and his remains were buried according to Islamic rites.

The late police officer, aged 42, is survived by two wives and seven children.

Policemen Dehumanize Woman

Meanwhile, a video showing police officers assaulting and dehumanizing a woman in Nikoro close, near Eghwere road, Agbarho in Delta State, has sparked huge outrage online.

According to reports, the victim identified as Martha Igbigbi was accosted by the police officers who visited her residence to arrest her son who wasn’t available.

In a viral video, the police officers who were five in number, including a female, ordered her to accompany them to their police station but she refused. The officers subsequently proceeded to assault the woman and tie her up before bundling her into their vehicle.

The victim who is partly unclad can be heard refusing to enter their vehicle as the police officers continued to dehumanize her.
