The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Taraba State, Kefas Agbu has cast his vote.

Naija News learnt that the PDP chieftain Agbu cast his vote at the Ebenezer primary school in the Wukari local government of the state.

Agbu commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the voting process thus far.

However, this online news platform gathered from Nigerian Tribune that there is apparent voter apathy in Wukari, which is Agbu’s LGA.

It was gathered that voters in the area expressed concerns about the security of voters.

Meanwhile, Agbu who spoke to pressmen after casting his vote called for calm over the incident that happened in the Akate and Asibiti wards of Dongo, while appealing to voters to behave in an orderly manner for the success of the exercise.

He was also optimistic that the exercise would be peaceful despite the attack.

Recall that Naija News reported earlier that suspected hoodlums reportedly destroyed electoral materials in Akete Asibiti wards in the Donga local government area of Taraba State.

It was gathered that Donga, where the incident occurred is the hometown of the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state, Emmanuel Bwacha.

According to an account from a resident of the town, the suspected hoodlums stormed the Ward headquarters as early as 6:30 am just when the INEC officials were about to move the electoral materials to various polling of the state.
