Gunmen Attack Rivers Community, Kidnap APC LG Secretary

Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have reportedly abducted a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State.

Reports obtained by Naija News on Thursday morning revealed that the APC secretary for the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Amadi Osaronu, was whisked away from his residence in Aluu on Wednesday by the assailants reportedly dressed in police uniforms.

“No amount of intimidation and arm-twisting will change the outcome of the March 18, which would be a resounding defeat for the Peoples Democratic Party,” the State APC Publicity Secretary, Darlington Nwauju, told the PUNCH while confirming the incident on Thursday morning.
