Keyamo Reacts As UK Gives Verdict On 2023 Presidential Election

Keyamo Under Fire Over Claim That Appointment Of Minister Of State Is Unconstitutional

The Chief Spokesman for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC), Festus Keyamo, has reacted to the comment of the British Government on the just-concluded presidential election.

Naija News reported that the outgoing British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, had on Monday said Nigerians should be proud of the process of the February 25 elections, even though there were setbacks.

Laing said she is impressed with Nigeria’s democratic journey, stressing that Nigeria should be proud of the remarkable difference in the conduct of the 2019 elections and that of 2023.

The envoy described the just-concluded presidential election as fascinating as it offered future assurances for democratic governance in the country.

Laing stated this while addressing newsmen in Abuja at the Senate wing of the National Assembly on Monday after a courtesy visit to the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.

Reacting in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday, Keyamo said supporters of the opposition candidates don’t want to hear such messages.

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment said most of the supporters are those who don’t know how the country got its independence and want to burn down the country.

He wrote: “Unfortunately, the sore losers (who have become cry babies) don’t want to hear such messages; most of them are those who don’t know how we got here; they want to burn down their country👇👇
