Kiddwaya Attacked On Social Media Over Insensitive Comment On Death Of South African Singer

Former Big Brother Naija ‘Lockdown’ Housemate, Kiddwaya, has been attacked on social media over a comment on the death of popular South African Amapiano artist, Costa Titch who passed away after collapsing on stage.

Naija News earlier reported that the 27-year-old reportedly had a seizure and collapsed on stage while performing at the Ultra music concert at Expo Centre in Nasrec, Johannesburg on Saturday, March 11, 2023.

Reacting to the demise of the rapper, Kiddwaya insinuated that Costa Titch’s death was caused by drug abuse, stating that many singers take drugs to escape societal pressure.

He wrote: “COSTA!!! what happened was extremely sad and avoidable and we have to do more to protect the artists!!! A lot of these artistes are taking drugs to escape the world or to carry the expectations of the pressure.”

Kiddwaya faced backlash from netizens including media personality Do2dtun who slammed the reality TV star for lacking emotional intelligence.

Do2tun wrote: “Kiddwaya carried table and chair to analyze a situation you have no privy information about. You are not a doctor, you were not at the show neither do you even know this guy but you ‘ve assumed on what might have happened to him. Verdict: No emotional intelligence and ignorance. Verified yet unverified.”
