Wike Gave Saboteurs $300,000 For Obigbo Massacre Families – Ohanaeze

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo has claimed that the Governor of River State, Nyesom Wike disbursed a sum of $300,000 as compensation to victims of the Obigbo massacre in the state.

Naija News reports that in 2020, some military personnel massacred Biafra agitators residing in Obigbo, the slaughter was subsequently known as the Obigbo massacre.

Speaking via a statement signed by Ohanaeze’s Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the group noted that Wike had disbursed the sum as compensation to families of those who lost their lives.

However, the group stated that the money was collected by one Alex Ogbonnia who parades himself as the group’s spokesman.

Ohanaeze subsequently urged families of the victims to approach Ogbonnia for the funds.

He said: “Ohanaeze Ndigbo wishes to alert Ndigbo and the entire world that some Ohanaeze saboteurs led by one Alex Ogbonnia, who parades himself as Ohanaeze spokesman, have collected the hefty sum of $300,000 from the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike for the mass burial and compensation of the victims of the Obigbo massacre who lost their lives during the military onslaught against Ndigbo in Obigbo, Rivers Stat,e under the guise of tracking down Biafran agitators in 2020.

“Biafran agitators and families of the Obigbo massacre victims should meet the earlier mentioned characters to collect the money they collected on their behalf.”
