VIDEO: I'm Very Happy Gabon Coup Happened - Fayose

A former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has alleged that the naira scarcity which occurred before the 2023 election was a strategy by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Fayose stated this during an interview with TVC this morning.

According to him, the PDP was not ready for the 2023 presidential election and came up with the strategy of denying Nigerians currency.

However, he explained that the strategy backfired as the populace eventually gave sympathy to another party.

PDP Prepared To Fail In The 2023 Election

Fayose also slammed the PDP presidential candidate,  Atiku Abubakar, over his actions before the election day.

According to him, many demands made during the electioneering period were turned down by Atiku and the national leadership of the party

Making reference to the demands of the five aggrieved governors of the party popularly known as the G5, Fayose said their demands were simple yet Atiku and the PDP national chairman, Iyorchi Ayu, paid a deaf ear to their demands.

He also recalled how the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, betrayed the trust of Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike, during the party’s primary elections.

Fayose said many of the party members, especially the G5 had wanted a Southern candidate from the PDP but for selfish interest, division happened in the party which led to the departure of Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
