Presidential Election Results: Total Votes Tinubu Got From Osinbajo’s LGA

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, emerged with the highest votes at the Ikenne Local Government Area (LGA) of Ogun State, where Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, hails from.

Naija News reported earlier that APC garnered 33 votes at Osinbajo’s polling unit 14, winning the unit ahead of Peter Obi of the Labour Party who polled nine votes, and Abubakar Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who got seven votes.

Sixty voters out of the 110 registered voters at the polling unit participated in the election which had eight voids. Recall that Osinbajo contested the APC presidential ticket against Tinubu at the party’s primary last year.

However, after collations of all polling units in the Ikenne LGA, votes from Osinbajo’s LGA put Tinubu in the lead ahead of his opposition with PDP coming second.

Three Ekiti APC SenatoraI Candidates Win Polls

Meanwhile, the Returning Officer for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Prof. Sola Omotola, has confirmed the victory of three All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in Ekiti State in Saturday’s elections.

They are Opeyemi Bamidele (Ekiti Central), the sitting senator who won reelection; Yemi Adaramodu (South), a House of Representatives member; and Cyril Fasuyi (North), the former director general of Biodun Oyebanji Campaign Organisation.

Omotola declared Bamidele winner and returned elected having secured 69,351 votes to defeat his close rival, Lateef Ajijola of Peoples Democratic Party, who got 26,181 votes, Naija News reports.
