Reports from Kwara State reveal that presidential and senatorial election results in four polling units in different local government areas of the state have been cancelled.

Naija News reports that the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kwara State said it cancelled the results from those polling units because of alleged violence, ballot box snatching and overvoting.

The affected units are inTsaragi, Edu local government, Oke- Ero local government and Asa local government results.

The Collation Officer for Oke-Ero council, Prof Rhoda Odunwoye made the disclosure at the collation centre, while presenting the presidential and Kwara south senatorial district results.

While Prof Oduwoye said Marafa ward unit 05 was cancelled due to overvoting, the Collation Officer for Asa LG Prof Lateef Ibrahim said the result was cancelled over a case of overvoting as well.

However, the State INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Malam Attahiru Madami in his remarks said the Tsaragi Polling Unit 10 result was also cancelled following a case of ballot box snatching by hoodlums.

Madami said out of 2,887 polling units in Kwara only one polling unit had its ballot boxes snatched.
