2023 Election: Kwara Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq Casts His Vote

Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on Saturday cast his vote in the 2023 presidential and national assembly election at Idigba Polling Unit 004 Adewole Ward of Ilorin West.

The Governor expressed concerns about reports of BVAS machines not working in some locations, but commended the professionalism of the security agencies and large turnouts of voters.

He also urged people to remain calm and peaceful, and expressed optimism about the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerging victorious at the polls.

Earlier, Naija News reprted that the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Professor Ibrahim Gambari has expressed delight with the electoral process after casting his vote in Saturday’s presidential and national assembly elections.

Prof. Gambari who participated in the exercise by voting at Unit 005, Akanbi IV, Ilorin South, Kwara State commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the peaceful nature of the exercise.

Speaking with journalists in Ilorin after casting his votes, the President’s chief of staff urged politicians who may not be comfortable with the eventual outcome of the exercise to approach the court for redress instead of sponsoring protests online or on the streets.

He said: “I am impressed with the professionalism of the INEC officials, the orderliness and smoothness with which the process is going.

“I am delighted to perform my civic duty. That is to cast my vote for the candidate of my choice in my own constituency.”
