Some hoodlums attacked the convoy of Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum at Kaleri community, Maiduguri, the State capital.

Naija News reports that the attackers struck when the governor was returning from Mafa, his hometown on Thursday evening.

Over three vehicles were destroyed, a report by Zagazola Makama, a counterinsurgency expert in the Lake Chad region said.

Sources also disclosed that the vehicles conveying the press crew, the engineers were smashed.

This is coming, days after irate youths attacked the campaign convoy of the governor’s wife, Hajiya Falmata Zulum in the axis of Dalori, in Konduga.

Eight vehicles were destroyed during the attack.

Thugs Burn Vehicles, Block Road As Kwankwaso Campaigns In Kano

Meanwhile, political thugs on Thursday attacked the supporters and vehicles of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State.

Naija News learnt that the incident happened at Na’ibawa-Zaria road in Kano.

The supporters were attacked while on their way to Kwanar Dangora on the outskirts of the city to receive the presidential candidate of the party, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Kwankwaso was on his way to Kano State for the grand finale of his presidential campaign rally.

The political thugs on Thursday attacked at least ten vehicles, while several others have been burnt.
