Tinubu Has Character Required To Rule Nigeria – Wike Declares

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has the character required to be Nigeria’s next president.

Wike said this on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, when he received the former Governor of Lagos State and his presidential campaign team in Port Harcourt.

Naija News, reports that Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, visited Wike on Wednesday at the Rivers State Government House in Port Harcourt after wooing electorates at the APC presidential campaign rally ground in the state.

In his address during the meeting, Wike said the APC presidential candidate possesses the character and courage required for Nigeria, and that he owes nobody an apology for declaring that ahead of the 2023 general elections.

He wished Tinubu the best of luck in his presidential bid but charged him not to encourage further funding on the APC guber candidate in Rivers, Tonye Cole.

Wike boasted that Cole has no chance against the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Siminaliayi Fubura, who he had projected to succeed him.

The PDP chieftain acknowledged that Tinubu had never changed political party and holds firm to what he believes in. According to him, he copied some of his (Wike’s) governorship policies that had brought him praise, particularly quality welfare for judicial officers, from the policies of Tinubu when he was Lagos governor.

Wike said: “I have no apology to anybody to say nobody born of a woman can intimidate me. You have never changed party one day. That tells of your character and courage and that is what we require in this country” the Rivers governor told Tinubu.”

“But let me advice you, don’t spend any more money on your governorship candidate here (Rivers).”
