One Feared Dead As Multiple Vehicles Crash On Third Mainland Bridge

One person has been reported dead, and others injured after three vehicles crashed on the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos State.

The accident happened at about 10:15 am on Thursday around the UNILAG Waterfront end of the bridge.

The multiple accidents involved a Ford bus conveying food items from Mile 12 inward Lagos Island, a Toyota Camry and an OPEL car.

The spokesperson of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Taofiq Adebayo, confirmed the incident to Punch.

He said the Toyota Camry had a tyre burst while in motion, thereby colliding with the two other vehicles.

The other person sustained severe injuries and had been taken to the hospital.

“LASTMA Officials and policemen from Oworonsoki police station are also on the ground to manage the traffic situation,” he added

Nigerian Skitmaker Dies In Fatal Car Accident

Meanwhile, Nigerian skitmaker, Kamal Iliyasu, popularly known as Kamal Aboki, has reportedly died in a fatal car accident.

Naija News learnt that the Hausa indigenous comedian died on his way from Borno to Kano State.

Confirming the death, his elder brother, Usman, during an interview with BBC, disclosed that their mother had a suspicion that something terrible would happen to Kamal.

However, someone later called him to inform him about the death of his brother who went to Maiduguri for an album launch.

According to him, the skitmaker got involved in a ghastly motor accident that claimed his life while on his way back to Kano.
