I Will Create Prosperity For All Nigerian Family - President Tinubu
APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu in Kebbi State

On Saturday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, praised Kebbi State residents for coming out to support his bid to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

Naija News reports that the former Governor of Lagos State, his running mate, Kashim Shettima, APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu; Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong; Governors Mohammed Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Bello Matawalle (Zamfara) and Prof. Babagana Zulum (Borno), all stormed Kebbi today for a presidential campaign rally in the state.

During the electioneering event, Tinubu commended the state government led by Governor Atiku Bagudu for its exploits in rice production and how it created a close partnership between the state and Lagos.

The APC presidential candidate, however, said his administration would continue to encourage such working relationships across the country if voted to victory in the 2023 elections.

Tinubu assured the people of Kebbi that he would revive the moribund Argungu fishing festival and boost major investments, including agriculture in the state.

Naija News reports that the Argungu Fishing Festival is an annual event in Kebbi State which focuses on conserving natural resources and maintaining and promoting traditional life. Parts of the event include hundreds converging in large water for a fishing competition. The region comprises fertile river areas of matanfada, mala, with much irrigation and orchards.

In a statement, however, made available to newsmen shortly after the electioneering event in the state today by his Media Officer, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, the APC presidential candidate commended the local farmers in the state for the revolutionary venture they have brought into the agricultural sector, especially in rice farming.

“We are going to invest in education and agro-allied industries to make prosperity a very simple thing. We will manage water resources to make sure that Nigeria becomes a leading agricultural country in Africa,” Tinubu said.

During the campaign rally, Governor Bagudu and Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, called on the people to cast their votes for Tinubu because of his past investments in advancing democracy in the country.

Malami reminded the gathering that the APC administration had made major investments in agriculture, social welfare and infrastructure, saying it was now time to pay back by voting in Tinubu and other party candidates.

He said Tinubu shared a lot of things in common with President Buhari, adding that if he is elected, the former Governor of Lagos state will consolidate on the gains recorded by the incumbent administration.

Also in attendance at the rally were Senate Leader, Senator Ibrahim Gobir; former governors Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto); Mahmud Shinkafi (Zamfara) and Saidu Dakingari (Kebbi); former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole; APC National Woman Leader, Dr. Betta Edu; Deputy Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Hadiza Bala Usman and Alhaji Ibrahim Masari among others.
