Mercy Eke Speaks On Age Falsification, Discloses ‘Real Age’

Former BBNaija housemate, Mercy Eke has reacted to the controversies surrounding her real age.

Naija News recalls that the reality TV star had shared a picture of her PVC and urged Nigerians to get theirs ahead of the general election.

In the picture shared, the entrepreneur covered her year of birth which raised a lot of eyebrows.

Twitter users reportedly used her other details to search for information on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) website and claimed that Mercy was born in the year 1990 and was 32 as opposed to 29 she celebrated on her last birthday.

Netizens subsequently lashed out at Mercy for lying about her age and also reshared her last birthday post.

The post had read, “Last of my 20s,

Happy birthday to me!!!”

Mercy, who seemed unbothered about the backlash took to Twitter once more on Monday to urge cybernauts to get their PVC.

She wrote: “It’s a new day to pick up your PVC, don’t miss out on exercising your right. Love you!.”

Commenting on the post, a follower proceeded to call her out directly and she responded.

The follower wrote: “But you’re close to 40 yrs old why you dey lie for us.”

While Mercy pretended to come clean about her age, she replied sarcastically:

“I’m actually 52.”
