Atiku Rejects Presidential Tribunal Verdict, Reveals Next Move

A video of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has emerged online.

This is amidst the reports that the PDP flagbearer is sick and has been flown to London, the United Kingdom, for medical treatment.

It was alleged that the Waziri of Adamawa was flown from Dubai, United Arab Emirates to the UK last weekend amid presidential campaign rally schedules.

However, the spokesman of the PDP presidential campaign council, Dino Melaye, on Monday, January 9, took to his Twitter page to share a video of himself alongside Atiku, jetting out of the country.

Melaye rubbished the reports that Atiku was rushed to London for medical treatment.

He wrote: “Shameless liars. Saying Atiku was rushed to London yesterday. We are just about to board for London now. See, man, wey dem say no well oooo. Atiku is their nightmare”

Wike Excludes Atiku From Campaigning In Public Schools

Meanwhile, the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) will not be able to use public places, especially school premises for its rally in Rivers State.

Naija News reports this follows the move by the Rivers State chapter of the party to secure the government’s approval to use public places, especially school premises for its rallies.

It was learned that the state PDP paid N95 million to cover all campaigns for the party’s candidates in line with the provisions of Order 21 issued by the Nyesom Wike administration.

It was gathered that the fund only covered all public facilities the Wike-led PDP had booked to campaign for its state candidates, excluding the presidential standard bearer.

Confirming the payment, the spokesperson of the State PDP Campaign Council, Ogbonna Nwuke, said the public places were secured for campaigns for the party’s state House of Assembly, National Assembly, and governorship candidates.

Nwuke said the money was paid to demonstrate PDP’s belief in and obedience to the laws of the state and advised other parties to toe a similar path and not flout the state government’s directive.
