‘David Moyes Is Not Afraid Of Losing His Job At West Ham’

West Ham United manager David Moyes does not think his team has performed badly enough to force the club’s board to kick him out of the club.

David Moyes and his boys have recorded 11 defeats, two draws, and just four wins. Due to this poor form, West Ham has just 14 points in 17 games, the same number of points as 18th-placed Nottingham Forest.

Following a 3-1 setback at Arsenal, West Ham lost 2-0 to Brentford at home the last time out, and some supporters started to wonder if Moyes was still the appropriate coach for the club.

Despite the poor run of games and being relegation-bound, Moyes has insisted that he still has the backing of every member of the club’s board to continue in his coaching role.

David Moyes does not think his team has performed badly enough to force the club's board to kick him out of the club.

However, reports in England claimed that the position of Moyes is in question as his team travels to Leeds on Wednesday night to avoid suffering their sixth straight Premier League loss.

Ahead of the Premier League game which will kick off at 20:45 on Wednesday, January 4, David Moyes said: “They [the club’s board] have been right behind me which is really good because you can put yourself under pressure a little bit. But overall they have been really good and really supportive in backing me.”

Striker Michail Antonio could be available to face Leeds despite suffering from illness and Morocco international Nayef Aguero is in contention after overcoming a virus, but fellow defender Kurt Zouma is absent.

The club’s summer acquisition, Gianluca Scamacca, might, in Moyes’ opinion, help the team’s fortunes turn around.

The £30 million transfer from Genoa has only found the back of the net twice in the Premier League and has not scored a goal since the start of October.
