2023: It’s Only God That Can Help PDP Win, Not You Guys – Okowa Fires G5 Govs

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has said the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections is in the hands of God and not with any man.

Okowa said this on Friday in Aboh community during a campaign rally organized by Delta PDP in Ndokwa East and Ndokwa West Local Government Areas of the state.

Recall that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers had said the PDP can’t win the 2023 presidential election without the support of the five aggrieved PDP Governors, popularly known as the G5.

Naija News reports that the five PDP governors include Wike (Rivers), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), and Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia).

Following their rift with the PDP flagbearer, the five governors reportedly met in London with the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, to form an alliance ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

But speaking at the rally, Okowa said Wike and his allies cannot stop the PDP from winning the 2023 presidential election if it’s destined by God.

The Delta governor asserted that the opposition PDP will win the forthcoming presidential election with or without the support of the ‘G5’.

He expressed confidence that the some of the governors would work for the victory of PDP in the 2023 general elections, adding that there will be division among the G5 soon.

Okowa, however, said the PDP standard bearer, Atiku Abubakar, is the only qualified candidate among the front runners in the presidential race.

He said: “God has said that we, the PDP, will win this election. Many things may be happening now and people may be asking what about the G5 governors.

“These governors are our brothers; everybody is important. But what God has said will happen, nobody can change it.

“So, even if some of them decide to support APC, some will remain with us because there will be division among them.

“The real truth is that I have strong political eyes and I have observed that no matter what they do, PDP will win the forthcoming election, by the grace of God.

“It is only the power of God that can help us to win. So, whether the G5 said that they would work with APC or any other party, we will win.”
