Economic Saboteurs Ran Nigerian Economy Aground - Sowore

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has declared that he won’t be bothered even if he loses in the 2023 general election.

According to him, even if he loses the forthcoming elections, he would be happy because he would have inspired the youth and young Nigerians to demand a better future they deserve.

Naija News gathered that Sowore, who made this pronouncement during an interview on News Central’s Politics HQ, described himself as both a pessimist and an optimist.

The AAC flag bearer explained that even if he doesn’t emerge a winner at the polls next year, he is optimistic about the future of the country because the youth has risen to demand critical things such as good governance because they now know they deserve better.

Sowore submitted that his most important dream is to see the country working right, adding that politics must be seen as rendering service to the people.

Sowore said, “What is more important is my interest in making this country work. Politics should be a service. My kind of optimism is different. I expect the worst and hope for the best. I’m an optimist for the future. Even if we don’t get to be in charge directly, a new generation would emerge that would not accept this kind of condition of existence and we would have inspired them.

“Whatever little contribution we can give or any sacrifice we can make now that will even make people in power think twice sometimes when they make decisions or policies are not bad for me. The fact that we are seeing a younger generation of persons who are getting radicalised as well and promising that this system will catch hell one day if it continues this way is for me an optimistic engagement.”
