Popular Nigerian Comedian Dead

Fast-rising Nigerian comedian, Tobi Owomoyela popularly known as Peteru, is dead.

Naija News reports that Peteru who is also known for his unique delivery in mimicking people, among other talents reportedly died on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

The Ibadan-based celebrity is one of the fastest-rising comedians who had made a name in the South-West of Nigeria, having worked with the top entertainers in the industry.

Nollywood actor, Muyiwa Ademola while mourning the deceased said Peteru died due to cancer.

He wrote: “This is a very hard pill to swallow! How could this jolly good fellow just depart this world in this manner? Hmmm… it is well.

“Please be kind to one another as we don’t even know what we are individually passing through! I learnt Peteru died of cancer. You were battling such burden yet I never saw you without a smile! It is well. It is well. It is well. Journey well great guy. I am out of words tonight.”

Some of Peteru’s colleagues in the Nigerian entertainment industry have taken to Instagram to mourn his painful demise.
