Adesina Loses Mum

The President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina, has lost his aged mother, Mrs Eunice Adesina.

Naija News reports that Eunice, who was aged 92 years, passed away on Thursday.

Her death was confirmed in a post by Adesina on his official Twitter page.

He wrote: “My darling mother, Eunice O. Adesina passed away today at the age of 92.

“I am blessed you were my mother. You gave birth to me, nursed me, cared for and brought me up.

“I am forever grateful Mum. So long sweet mum. Greet dad and sleep well.

“I love you. Your loving baby, Akins”

Many Feared Dead As 40ft Container Falls On Cars In Lagos

A 40 feet container reportedly fell on three vehicles at the Cele bus stop, on the Oshodi Apapa expressway, Lagos, on Thursday, December 22, 2022.

Naija News gathered that the driver of one of the vehicles, a commercial bus, has been confirmed dead while its passengers and those in the two other vehicles managed to escape.

Confirming the accident, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) in a post on its Facebook page said the Police team from the IIasa division are currently doing the needful.

“An accident happened at PM filling station main carriage way, Inward Cele express involving an upturned 40ft container on a commercial bus.

“Police Officers from Ilasa division are on the ground doing the needful and also effort is on for recovery”
