A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign council, Dr Hamza Abubakar Haruna had joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State.

Naija News reports that Haruna said his decision to rejoin the APC is because he is sure the party would take Nigeria to the next level when it wins the forthcoming election.

Haruna, at a news briefing on Monday at the APC North West Zonal Office, along with Isah Kaita in Kaduna, noted that his decision is to support the northwest campaign coordinator to earn the zone an overwhelming victory at the 2023 general elections.

The former PDP campaign council member explained that he rejoined the APC considering the fact that the party will take the country to the next level.

He was also optimistic that the state Governor Bello Matawalle’s political strategy will continue to remain indelible in the minds of Zamfara people and the North West in general.

He expressed confidence in the political maturity of Governor Matawalle in unifying the party and making APC stronger in the North West geo-political zone.

Haruna also disclosed that he decamped alongside some political groups across the seven States of the North West geopolitical zone, who are mostly youths.

The Zamfara State Governor, who received Haruna at his residence, commended him and his entourage for choosing to align with the APC and its Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Matawalle told the defectors that Tinubu had mapped out strategic development plans that will consolidate the existing reforms embarked upon by President Muhammadu Buhari.
