PDP Take Bold Decision On G5 Governors, Fayose, Others

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and his other aggrieved colleagues on Wednesday showed off beautiful dance moves ahead of the campaigns in Abia State.

The Governors popularly referred to as G5, showed no sign of any worry about the crisis which has engulfed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2023 general elections as they took to the dance floor to cheer and merry.

Apart from Wike, other Governors in the group are Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Samuel Ortom of Benue, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu.

According to Wike who shared the video on his Twitter handle, the dance was done during a reception held in their honour on Wednesday night in Abia State.

Sharing the video via his Twitter account on Thursday, Wike wrote: “We (G5 Governors) were treated to a fine reception in Abia State last night preparatory for the PDP Campaign today.”

Naija News recalls the aggrieved Governors who are now popularly known as the G5, have vowed not to have anything to do with the PDP presidential campaigns and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar except the National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu resigns and is replaced by a southerner.

According to them, there is too much concentration of party leadership positions in the north and this does not give a nationalistic approach.

They insisted their fight is for justice, fairness and equity.

The stand of the Governors is threatening the chances of the PDP in returning to power in 2023 as all efforts at reconciliation have so far proved abortive.

Similarly, Ayu has ignored the calls from Wike’s camp and vowed to complete his tenure of four years except the party asks him to step down.
