APC Holds Solidarity Rally For Tinubu In USA

A Federal High Court sitting in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital, has sacked Muhammad Haruna Idris as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate contesting for the House of Assembly seat for the Kazaure Constituency of the state.

The court nullified the primary election that produced him as the candidate for the Kazaure Constituency.

The presiding judge, Justice Hassan Dikko explained that the prosecuting counsel proved its case beyond reasonable doubt that the candidate did not satisfy the requirements to contest the primary election.

He, therefore, declared another contestant, Barrister Bala Hamza Gada as a winner of the election.

Gada had challenged the election process that produced Idris in the Court, faulting the process of the primary election.

He had also claimed that the candidate did not have the requirement to contest the election based on the school certificates he presented, adding that some of the delegates were disenfranchised during the primary election.

Gada who is the incumbent member representing the Kazaure constituency and his lawyer, Ibrahim Sa’ad expressed satisfaction at the court’s ruling.

He said the judgement is a victory for the rule of law and called on his opponent to come and join hands for the victory of APC at all levels.
